How to order

Step-by-step walkthrough

1. Sign in or create an account

Your account keeps your saved customer details and completed order history available in the webshop. A customer account is needed before prices and checkout can be shown.

2. Choose a testing area

Choose the area that matches the material being tested, such as Soil Health, Crop Health, Horticulture, Water, or Organic Materials. The available packages and sample fields follow that choice.

3. Browse packages and choose samples

Choose the number of samples and assign a package to each one. You can select a package directly from Browse packages with Order now, or start from the guided order flow.

4. Set up sample details

Enter the customer's sample reference and any package-specific information. Required fields are marked, and optional fields are labelled so you know what is needed to continue.

5. Add order details and extras

Check the customer and delivery details, add a purchase order number if required, review the end-client section when it applies, and confirm whether a sampling kit is needed.

6. Review and pay

Review every sample, package, add-on, price, VAT, and the Order total before continuing to secure card payment. The order reference is released only after payment succeeds.

Frequently asked questions

How do I place an order?

Can I order different testing areas together?

An order follows one testing area so the package catalogue, pricing, and paperwork remain consistent. If you need, for example, Soil Health and Organic Materials, create a separate order for each area. Your completed orders are available from Account and the getting started page.

Can I order more than one sample?

Yes. Choose the number of samples required for the order, then assign packages to those samples. Several compatible analyses can be combined on one sample when the flow makes them available.

What happens after I sign in?

You are taken to a getting started page with links to begin an order, view completed orders, manage your account, or get support.

Why can I not see prices yet?

Prices are shown after you sign in with an approved customer account. This keeps account pricing and checkout totals protected.

Can I leave a project name blank?

Yes. Project Description is optional, so routine sample submissions do not need a project name.

What is a package?

A package is the main analysis selected for a sample. Package details, technical information, price, and turnaround are shown before you assign it.

What are bolt-ons or additional analyses?

These are extra analyses that can be added to a sample after its main package has been selected. Use Add bolt-ons or the Add bolt-ons option in the order review to select the available extras together.

Can I change or clear a package without choosing another one?

Yes. Use Change package or Clear package on the sample. Clearing a package does not force you to immediately select a replacement; the order will simply remain incomplete until every sample that you intend to submit has a package.

What happens if I remove a package from the order review?

Removing a package line removes the samples assigned to that package as well. Review the remaining sample count and packages before continuing.

How do I avoid ordering duplicate or overlapping analyses?

Choose the complete suite when it is available instead of ordering each of its component analyses separately. Review the package descriptions and the order summary carefully; if you are unsure which option is right, contact Support before paying.

Where can I find technical information?

Package listings identify whether a link opens a technical information sheet or a video. The links are separate so you can tell what you are opening before you select a package.

What does the turnaround wording mean?

Where shown for the package, turnaround is written as “5–7 days after order receipt at laboratory”. This starts when the laboratory receives the samples, not when the online order is submitted.

What should I enter as the sample reference?

Use the customer's own reference for that physical sample, such as “Back field”. This is the simple identifying label used to match the sample to the order; the detailed sample and analysis information remains in the order paperwork.

How do I know which fields are required?

Required fields are marked with an asterisk or Required. Optional fields are explicitly marked Optional. The webshop will focus the first incomplete field when something needed for the next stage is missing.

When will I see end-client details?

The End client details section appears when the account is ordering on behalf of a client, such as for an advisor, agronomist, or consultant. Enter the client information there so it can follow the order and paperwork.

Can I save an end client for next time?

Yes. Customer accounts can save end-client details and reuse them on future orders from the account area.

What if I am a gardener?

Gardener is available as an account role. Select the role that best describes you; the relevant farm or field information will then be shown where applicable.

Why are my account details shown again at payment?

Signed-in customer details are used to prepopulate payment and billing information. The billing-details-same-as-account option is selected by default; clear it only when the billing details are different.

How do I request a sampling kit?

The sampling-kit option is selected by default. Leave it selected if you want a kit, or untick it to opt out. It applies to the order rather than to an individual sample. Delivery information is included with the order follow-up; contact Support if you need help with timing.

What does the Order total include?

The review page shows the Analysis subtotal, VAT, and Order total before payment. The amount shown is the total for the packages and add-ons in your order.

Can I review or remove individual order lines?

Yes. Use the order summary to review the sample/package lines and remove a package when needed. Use Edit packages, Add bolt-ons, or Edit samples to return to the relevant part of the order.

Will my order be lost if I go back or open another page?

The current in-progress order is saved in the browser as you make selections and enter details. You can return to the webshop and continue. A paid order is kept separately in Account order history, and Start another order creates a new draft without replacing that completed order.

When is the order reference available?

The order reference is shown only after the card payment has been completed successfully. This prevents customers from using a reference for an order that was never completed.

What happens after payment succeeds?

Your order reference is created and the confirmation outputs are released. You can access the confirmation email, PDF paperwork, and sample-label options from the completed order.

What will the confirmation show?

The confirmation identifies Laboratory: NRM, shows the payment mode as Pay As You Go, and lists the actual packages, samples, and add-ons ordered rather than only naming a broad testing area.

What appears on the sample labels?

Labels use the customer's sample reference and a scannable barcode. The full sample schedule and detailed analysis information remain in the confirmation paperwork.

Where can I find an order I created earlier?

Open Account and go to Order history, or use View my order history from the getting started page. Each completed order shows its reference, testing area, samples, line items, payment status, and total.

How do I start a second order?

Choose Start another order from the completed-order or account journey. This opens a new order draft while keeping the previous paid order in your history.

What if I need help choosing the right package?

Browse the package descriptions and technical resources first. If you are still unsure, contact Support before paying so the correct analysis can be selected.
